As I always consider myself a learner for life, trainings like these are the most eminent part of my professional life. It has provided me an opportunity to reflect and revisit my practices. I have figured out few weaknesses in my teaching methodology and at least I now have the direction to work hard to bring improvements in future.
Lack of collaboration with staff members
Less Interaction of students in class
Less focus on planning lessons
Easily get demotivated by lack of resources and funds
Less focus on designing professional assessment tools
Lack of knowledge of modern teaching strategies
Too much work load of 6 subjects as well as administrative tasks
After 12 days full of action and knowledge, this training has provided me the opportunity for learning and I really feel excited to share and implement all those in my classroom as well as with my colleagues. The action plan I have designed for myself is:
Increased collaboration with staff members by offering them ICT trainings and sharing my knowledge and plans with them
Creating a collaborative and interactive environment in my classrooms by supporting active learning strategies
Designing lesson plans aligned with curriculum and with latest technological trends and activity based teaching methodologies
Sending applications to higher authorities for availability of technological devices. Exploiting all available resources at its best
Technology has made assessment designing easier. The knowledge of creating items and paper setting, attained during training will improve my papers and assessments.
Variety of teaching strategies are being learnt as well as practiced during the sessions, this will help in using the same in my classrooms.
Designating my workload of computing tasks to juniors by training them to use excel and word proficiently
Requesting for the arrangement of Maths teacher so as to keep my focus on Computer Science lessons
Maintaining my Reflective diary
Maintaining and managing my e-portfolio
