Todays session was yet again a fruitful and engaging one. Session started with reflections and then group task of previous day was to be presented. Our group members kept connected whole time, along with the completion of task, we have also planned how to present. The knowledge I have learnt through collaboration was so awesome that I was really anxious to present. Feedback from trainer was very encouraging and it seems like the fruit of our whole day efforts. After 3 presentations, we started the topic of Blooms Taxonomy. In my professional education, I do have its understanding but this training is unique in a way that we are continuously given the tasks to apply our understanding thus my learning seems to lift up from knowledge and understanding to applying and analyzing. The method of learn by doing is effectively being used which will inshallah affect my professional teaching life also. Our trainer explains development of students in 3 of the domains. Cognition, emotional or affective and psychomotor domains. In this training we have to learn cognition and brain development. The way topic was explained through examples enables me to relate these concepts to real life situations. We were then given a group task where we have to pick few SLOs from Computer Science and explain its cognition level. For the first time, given task seemed to be so simple which hardly took 5-10 mins to discuss and complete while allocated time looks like never ending. But the group avail this time to gain introduction of each other. In previous group tasks, task list is usually so long that we hardly know each others names. I am able to have connections with some new IT Teachers. The learning I gained from the situation is, in online sessions where participants hardly know each other, allocated time should be enough that members become familiar to each other along with focusing on the given task.
